Qi Gong (Chi Kung) is an embodied healing and spiritual practice that involves gentle and vigorous movement, deep stretching, focused breath-work, whole body relaxation and meditative awareness.
This practice originated with the indigenous people of Asia about 7000 years ago, as a form of prayer and communion with nature. At present, Qi Gong is practiced all over the world as a method of healing oneself and others, enhancing athletic and martial arts capabilities, as well as cultivating Spiritual awareness and a deeper connection with nature.
Also called Chinese Yoga, Qi Gong is world renowned for its low impact exercise, gentle and fluid movements and scientifically proven health benefits. It is no wonder that Qi Gong has become very popular. In the last two decades, an increased availability of instructors has made it possible for many people to cultivate this life-enriching practice and transform their lives. As long as the quality of instruction remains high, Qi Gong will continue to spread and evolve in the coming decades.
I have studied and practiced Qi Gong for over Forty years. This ancient Indigenous practice is as important to my sense of self and my experience of well-being as eating, sleeping, and sex.
Yes, I am saying that a life without Qi Gong is like a life without sex!
I can say, without reservation, that having this anchor in my life has been essential to my good health and my success as a person in all aspects of life. The gift of this practice is AMAZING! The fact that I can add a stream of income doing something that I Love, while truly helping the people I teach is a true blessing.
Qi Gong Teachers are Needed now! Given the terrifying health statistics of the 21st Century, people everywhere are looking for guidance on how to manage stress and life a healthier life. This is especially true of the ‘Baby Boomer’ population. The epidemic of Obesity, Diabetes, Cancer, Autoimmune Disease, Infertility and Alzheimer’s Disease are all serious warnings that modern life is out of balance. Regular Qi Gong practice, along with the fundamental principles of Traditional Chinese medicine, are profoundly beneficial in keeping us all healthy, fit and happy.
[one_half padding=”0 010px 0 0px”]
Since the 1960’s Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Kung Fu and Yoga have become normal parts of daily life.
It is clear that movement, stretching, stillness, breath-work, and meditation are experiences people need to be happy and healthy. Both Qi Gong and Yoga are embodied spiritual practices. Both call us to presence, connection, intention and peaceful abundance. Yoga, for the most part, focuses on Asanas, or fixed postures with endless opportunities for deepening subtleties of awareness and practice. Qi Gong also has this focus, although qigong tends to repetitive, flowing and circular gestures that are a part of a larger choreographed series of movements.
In my experience “Embodied Spiritual Practice” is the same opportunity no matter what we call it.

There is a 4 day Qi Gong Gathering that will serve as a final exam and a chance to practice with your Qi Gong Family (This covers 40 hours of your training)
[/one_half_last]
Yes, I think Qi Gong can be learned, to a certain extent, online. There are a few courses available online already. Given the technology so many people have access to, and the level of interaction possible, a person could learn enough to have a very deep practice. Of course, like any art, the more you interact with other artists, especially those with more experience than you, the better of an artist you will likely become.
I often tell my students, after teaching them something new and subtle, “give that aspect of Qi Gong about 20 years, give or take 20 years”. These exercises are safe, easy to learn (mostly) and deeply enjoyable.
There is NO HURRY to become a master!
This surprises most people, but if you were to go to China and have the good fortune to be able to learn from a high level and famous teacher (they don’t always go together), you would most like find yourself in the back row of a very large and crowded room. You may catch a glimpse of the ‘Master’ every once in a while. Occasionally, he or she may ask everyone to sit down when they demonstrate a specific skill, allowing you to finally really see them move. In this imagined learning situation, let’s also hope they have also provided a really good translator. Unless you speak Chinese…
Perhaps, after a few years, some people have gone on to other things, some of the higher level students in the front row have gone on to teach on their own, and you find yourself in the middle of the crowd. You are now easily following the people ahead of you, and occasionally you get little glimpses of the subtleties from the actual teacher. Other new students behind you are probably following you. Years later, you find yourself in the front row. Now you are finally watching your teacher every day, or you are watching his chosen disciple every day.
Believe it or not, this is how many westerners who have gone to China have learned Qi Gong.
Watching from a distance, working out the details over many years…
I have had teachers who spoke almost no English, even before I knew enough Chinese to ask a question that actually mattered. I learned a great deal from these men and women because I had no choice. I had to watch, learn, imitate and wait for as long as it took for a correction or advice.
So, again, YES! I feel very strongly that, if a person was interested, dedicated and consistent in their personal practice, they could learn Qi Gong from a video. To a certain extent, anyway. At some point, each of us has to spend time with a highly experienced practitioner. There are aspects of any art that are very individual and require patience and wisdom to change.
This is why we have regular interactive webinars, private online review and correction sessions, and why there is a 4-Day in-person gathering at the end of the training.
I like to think of most Qi Gong practices as gentle therapeutic exercise. With the addition of conscious breathing and meditative focus, these exercises become more powerful. With the addition of a deep connection to Nature, the Universe and our True Spiritual Self these exercises become medicine.
A good Qi Gong teacher NEEDS to know a wide range of these exercises to not only help the general public, but also assist those with specific needs. A very good Qi Gong teacher can guide a room full of people deep into their bodies, into the power of conscious breathing and encourage each person to transcend the limiting boundaries and beliefs in their lives.
An excellent Qi Gong teacher can share these things as well as guide their students into the Mysterious Journey of Self-Awareness, Abundant Health and a return to their Innate Autonomy.
I feel that this program covers every necessary aspect of therapeutic movement, advanced breathing and meditative practices, esoteric Spiritual practices, nutrition knowledge and tradition Wisdom Teachings to safely and effectively help others heal their lives.
This 10 level training progression has been honed over the last 25 years. All of the practices and teachings are sourced from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Martial Arts, Buddhist, Daoist and Indigenous Healing Methods, Monastic Spiritual Practice, traditional Indigenous Rites of Passage and Ancestral Nutritional Wisdom.
Essentially, this program has EVERYTHING an Excellent and Successful Qi Gong Teacher needs to know!

In my experience, mentoring is always about Guidance, Evaluation, and Support. For an athletic, Shamanic or medical student to feel confident, they naturally require consistent opportunities to connect, share, inquire and explore whatever skills and knowledge they are trying to master. Successful learning and the building of confidence rely on support as much as anything.
This program includes three forms of live, interactive and essential support.
The first form of support will be our monthly webinar events. Over the three to five years of your training, you will have a chance to focus in on the most essential, foundational and tangible principles of Qi Gong practice. These live webinars (or local events) will help you stay focused and inspired on your journey while ensuring that you get to ask questions and refine the skills of your practice.
The second form of support will be regularly irregular and spontaneous Qi Gong lessons, recorded talks, live webinars and random ‘for fun’ assignments and challenges. I want you to have the time you need to schedule and accomplish your training. I also want you to know that you are a part of a larger family of Qi Gong Practitioners and Teachers, Healers and Warriors. With some unscheduled lessons and guest instructors, you will feel your family around you – regularly and spontaneously.
The third form of live and in person, (or in e-person) connection will be your Private Review, Evaluation and Guidance sessions. These one-on-one sessions will give you a chance to demonstrate what you are learning, ask questions, share breakthroughs, and get some feedback on the subtle details of your practice. These serious and scary exams usually include a lot of laughing and personal growth.
Keep in mind that this is a 3-5 year long commitment to learning and practicing an ancient and beautiful art. During those many months of guidance, you will be asked to practice for about 500 hours – mostly solo – under the full moon or at sunrise – or anywhere you like. With each exercise you will have to ask, am I sure that this is right, can this hurt anyone? Can I teach this exercise and not feel anxious?
By the end of your training, you will have learned a new language for staying healthy, fit and aware of your deeper self for the rest of your life. This is Qi Gong, and I would be honored to help you learn this language and share it with the world.
Qi Gong for Depression, Anxiety, and Insomnia.

If you feel drawn to becoming a professional Qi Gong teacher, I can say with absolute confidence that this program is the best online training available today. Putting a price on this has easily been the hardest part of bringing all of this together. Over the last four years, I have spent countless hours filming, writing, editing both (video takes way longer), uploading, webinar-ing, and a whole bunch of other ‘…ings’ that turned out to be necessary to make this work the way I envisioned it needed to. I eventually chose a simple formula to decide on what investment seemed fair and realistic. The formula goes like this: what would it cost for a person to take this in a studio/classroom? Divide that number by 3. I have put all of this together because I believe that Qi Gong will change the world. I believe that this practice is the perfect ‘partner’ in a world where Yoga is your first choice. If you, like me, feel that there is room in your world or a Qi Gong |Teacher, then please take this opportunity. I will be proud and honored to help you walk in this direction.
Yes, to learn all of this in the ‘usual way’ would cost you at least $15,000 over 5 – 15 years. And, honestly, if you can train one-on-one with a real Master, then PLEASE do that. Help keep every lineage alive!
As a ‘soon to become a practicing professional Qi Gong teacher’, you will have many opportunities to grow as a person and get your feet wet as a uniquely qualified kind of fitness trainer and health coach. If you are completely new to this practice, I encourage any of my students to start a ‘practice with’ group in their second year of practice. This is basically a chance to show a few people (for free) what you are learning. Imagine taking some friends and curious strangers through a 40 minutes group of exercises. Every week. You don’t get paid, but you get a chance to shake off the nerves and work out any bad habits before you start asking for money. In your third year of training AND teaching, you will pay for this course AND, very likely, change your life. And the lives of every student you ever teach.

3 bi-monthly payments of $1550
10 monthly payments of $475
Here is a link to a Patreon Site if you would prefer a month-by-month option.
IF you stay committed to all of your learning and teaching goals, you will have paid for this entire program before you even graduate. I can’t promise that, but it would not be difficult at all.
If you are already taking classes somewhere or teaching classes of some kind, or are fit and like to offer workshops, then consider this. After fully engaging in and applying any of the above levels of practice, you could easily present a weekend workshop on what you got the most out of. That workshop would likely recover most of your investment for this training, and then some. Dr. Smith is committed to spreading the benefits of Qi Gong and will be happy to promote the offerings of any of his students and associates.
Either way, in your third year you will be asked to start a by-donation class. Being of service in this way is a special kind of qigong in itself. Now you are committed to actually teaching a semi-professional class. Month-by-month, lesson-by-lesson, you show up ready to inspire, respect and carefully improve their physical capacity. You are a uniquely qualified kind of fitness trainer. Remember that! After graduating, a regular weekly Qi Gong class of 10 people would bring in $800.00 per month. That is just one class…
It would be hard not to recover your investment in 6 months.
You Could Graduate From this Program with a Part time job, a Spiritual practice, and the knowledge and experience to be a unique kind of health coach. As a graduate, you would also be a part of a community of people around the world, dedicated to health, self-awareness, and a more planetary consciousness. Some people like to teach early morning classes every day and other like to teach one weekend a month. If you can start a class (or seminar) and fill it up, you have a significant second income. I am not ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, but I also know that health is about flow. Learning and mastering a series of therapeutic exercises, while studying the oldest spiritual traditions on earth can be a bit of an uphill experience. (Is It Worth It?).
Having a second stream of income that could allow you to go deeper into your own healing journey and spiritual practice seems like a very downhill (This is FUN and AMAZING!), life-affirming and generally wise thing to do.
Just saying! A part of this program includes how to promote your classes, how to communicate with other healthcare professionals, ow to become a professional teacher – a unique kind of coach – about life. Mostly meditation, exercise, and Diet, but… if you are ambitious and creative you can have a new career and a message for the world!
Schedule a Phone or Skype Interview with Michael to make sure that this learning opportunity is a good fit for you.
