Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into the muscles of the body. It has been practiced in Asia and other parts of the world for thousands of years. Acupuncture is very effective in treating acute and chronic pain, metabolic disorders and imbalances of the immune system. The World Health Organization has published a report on the most effective uses of acupuncture.
At present most extended health plans cover acupuncture treatments completely or to some degree. Clinical Fees:
Initial Assessment, Consultation and Treatment: (2 hours) – $120.00 (this includes nutritional and supplemental guidance and prescriptions for any needed Chinese herbal supplements)
Regular follow-up acupuncture treatments: (75 minutes) – $60.00
